Into The Mystic Cruise 2013 - update 51

Thr 15.8.13: Glengarriff.

The open companionway frames soaring hillsides, vanishing mysteriously into swirls of mist.
I sit below, reading and surfing the net; listening to the patter of rain on deck; glad to have repaired the spray hood, yesterday.

The Fastnet Race fleet is flying into Plymouth, on 25-30 knots of south west wind.

That same weather system is sweeping down Bantry Bay.

Protected, by its fairy tale ring of islands, Glengarriff has an enchanted calm. Still, green forests, rise from waters of burnished slate.
