Overnight, the Sovereign Harbour visitor pontoon fills. Although Stargazer's skipper, sleeping off yesterday's early start, is oblivious to the new arrivals. Until emerging to enjoy a breakfast coffee, in her sunlit companionway.
The JOG (Junior Offshore Group) fleet is in. After a Good Friday race, round from Gosport. Like Stargazer, they left at dawn. Arriving just after dusk.
The boats race back, to the Solent, on Easter Day. The forecast is for twenty five to thirty knots, of easterly breeze, dropping to ten to twelve, by evening. A day for the down wind planing machines, like Full Circle. Anticipation runs high, for a wild ride.
