Zen Again 163

A rainbow spears earthward, from a white puff of cloud, suspended in a grey sky. Symbol of hope or sign of unpredictable weather? Is Stargazer's cup half full or half empty?

For Friday's crossing, from Le Havre (Zen Again 159) Stargazer's skipper wore sun hat, polo shirt and shorts. This week he sports beanie, windproof and long trousers. Our headwind has a strong hint of autumn upon its breath.

Now, once more, a hurricane's remnants spiral over from the Americas.

Gabrielle is tracking toward the Azores, Biscay and Portugal. As she travels east, across the Atlantic, she is likely to alter the snaking path of the jet stream. Which has the potential to bring Stargazer warm winds, from a southerly (favourable) direction. To fill her skipper's cup to overflowing.
