Sun 2.9.12. L'Aber Wrac'h
It's a spanking beat out of Brest. 10 knots over the ground in the Goulet - with a bit of help from the tide!
We're soon off Pointe de Saint Mathieu, with more tidal assistance; this time carrying us N up the Chenal du Four.
We need the help. The wind is dropping all the time. Off Le Four lighthouse it goes W just enough to let us hoist the chute.
From Le Four we lurch across a confused swell, that tries to shake the wind out of our sails;
..... and tip toe in under Ile Vierge.
We're just in time to ride the last of the flood into L'Aber Wrac'h.
