Into The Mystic Cruise 2013 - update 12

Sun 7.7.13: Penryn, Falmouth:

We tip toe out of the Helford River, more carried by the ebb than propelled by the suggestion of a sea breeze; which is stirring, speculatively, aloft. A rowing gig overhauls us, hailing: "want a tow?"

A Falmouth working boat, under a cloud of sail, is barely making way.

I fire up Stargazer's diesel, and motor sail for Falmouth. Through the heat haze, HMS Royalist motors, bare- headed, outbound past St Anthony Head.

Off Pendennis Point, a coaster lies at anchor, beneath the castle battlements, waiting to dock.

The breeze fills in, to carry us up to Penryn, under sail.

We're at the head of another creek. In a marina this time. One within easy walk of two large supermarkets, for fresh provisions. A place to top up water and battery power; before we sail west. An ending and a beginning.
