Three camps have formed, on the Medoc dockside.
Those heading north, those heading south and those staying put : local craft, cruising within the Gironde.
The south bound crews move through, as soon as they are rested. Riding the northerly breeze down to Spain and beyond. Their eyes on the Orca 'interaction' reports, as much as on the weather forecast.
We northbound crews have been biding our time. Waiting for a high water around daybreak and as much east in the breeze as we can have. Today, we have been filling our water tanks. Topping up on fresh produce. Our alarms set for a dawn wind check tomorrow.
