La Hirondelle 86

The port of Loctudy is ghostly quiet. The usual cosmopolitan bustle, of the visitors’ pontoon, stilled. In anticipation of the arrival of ‘La Regate.’

Today’s light winds may be slowing the fleet’s arrival. Or numbers may be thinned, by last week’s gales.
The beach though is thronged. With holidaying school children, eagerly honing their aquatic skills.

If operating to forecast, a serviceable south easterly should fill in tomorrow morning. With a tide that would see Stargazer through the Raz de Seine, during the evening. Perhaps into Brest by nightfall.
