Zen Again 113

Still mornings, on the beach, waiting for the sun to burn through and stir up a sea breeze, seems to be the present pattern. One that suits afternoon and evening sails.

Fortunately, that timing makes best use of the north going tide. If a two leg strategy is adopted, for Stargazer's passage into the Rade de Brest.

Currently, a westerly is forecast, on Friday. Which would suit a sail across Audierene Bay. The wind is expected to gust up, from the north overnight. But, by then, Stargazer should be sheltered, at anchor, in the lee of the land.

By Saturday afternoon, the breeze is expected to settle, still from the north. Once through the Raz, Stargazer's course lies north east, for the Toulinguet gap and then east through the Goulet de Brest. A rhumb line course is therefore achievable. If forecast and reality coincide.
