Sun 17.6.12: Pornichet. The (camera shy) Dolphins meet us off Hoedic lighthouse, ride the bow wave, play alongside and then disappear leaving behind them a lingering feeling of joy. It's the cue for the sun to come out and the wind to drop to an easygoing jolie brise (4)
Earlier we'd quit the Golfe du Morbihan in style; beating out with 2 reefs in the main as 20 knots of breeze heaped up the young ebb.
We arrive off Pornichet 2 hours early. I Soak up the summer holiday atmosphere, lying off La Baule beach, until there's water. Stargazer noses into the Marina. Pierre waves from the finger as the launch leads us to our berth. Wonderful to meet him at last - a true sailor. The afternoon disappears as we talk aboard Stargazer.
