Mon 23.7.12. Ile Houat, Treac'h Salus. Tide is all in the Morbihan. Not much wind about but we still came out at 8 knots.
In the Baie de Quiberon there was less power in the tide to help Stargazer on her way.
We ghosted along for a while, hoping for a sea breeze, and then resorted to iron topsail to catch the last of the fair tide through the Beniguet Passage.
I've anchored Stargazer under the rocks in the SE corner of Treac'h Salus. If the wind goes NE, as forecast, we'll be nicely sheltered.
Either way the view is spectacular.
Astern: our sheltering rocks backed by a cliff veined with reds and browns.
Over the bow: a long beach rises beyond shimmering turquoise water.
