En France 68

Towering clouds boil and tumble across brooding black skies.

Sharp deluges descend in an instant.

Just as quickly to be replaced by the warm balm of autumn sunshine.

Boats are still running in, from windswept anchorages around the Rade ; and from Camaret's (rather exposed) 'new' visitor's marina. The 'old' (well sheltered) inner harbour berths now the preserve of annual berth holders.

Daryl and Shirley text, from Alcaidesa, in the shadow of the Rock of Gibraltar. Their quarters for the winter. Dream Catcher having secured a berth contract and they a Spanish residency permit.

Concerned that Stargazer's home bound progress had halted (on AIS), they were checking that all was well aboard. I explain that we are waiting out the first gale of autumn.
