Zen Again 61

There is relief, aboard the Grand Norven. Now that her ‘battle colours' are lowered, to the deck.

The Breton lugger had put into Piriac. Her three crew expertly bringing her alongside. On a day, which is breezy enough, to have caused younger, more nimble, craft much consternation.

Her sails are swiftly stowed and the dock lines tidied.

All is going well, until an untimely squall, causes an outsized house flag, to snag the hounds. (The point, high up the mast, at which the standing rigging, is looped onto the spar, which it supports.)

In the end, a deft sideways deflection, from the dockside, saves the day.
