Zen Again 74

Shrieks and splashes announce that, the Benj's of tomorrow, are gleefully honing their skills. Darting from one catspaw, of breeze, to the next, within the harbour.

Benj puts to sea. Readying his boat for the Course des Caps. Which sets off from Boulogne, looping the British Isles, on the twenty ninth. As the French holiday season begins to ramp up, to a ‘Le Quatorze’ crescendo. (Fourteenth of July or Bastille Day.)

For now, plenty of spare sand remains visible, between sun worshippers and bathers, on La Grande Plage of Les Sables d'Olonne.

Which lies at the feet of the downtown skyscrapers and buildings of state.

Its gently shoaling waters provide a favoured lunchtime anchorage for local boats.

High upon the breakwater, a church caters for worshippers of quite another kind.
