L'Herbaudiere, which, I think, is pronounced "L'Herbauderie,” is a small port of many parts:
Part, bustling fishing harbour.
Pot boats darting to and fro. Offloading their catch, into waiting trucks, or restaurant kitchens.
Part, pavement cafe dedicated quayside.
Part, beach resort. A ring of rock, offshore, protecting gently shelving, silver sand bathing beaches.
The reefs becoming rockpools, as the tide recedes.
