Spring Chicken 9

Still the seas run high and the north east wind blows hard. Heeling the mighty steel bulk of the ferries, as they set sail across Channel.

The lee, of the South Foreland, providing a welcome respite, at the eastern end of town. And on the paths which wind up to its windy summit.

Aboard Stargazer, the barometer is dropping. The breeze is forecast to ease, to a passage making strength, by morning. Remaining in the north or east. Just before first light, the tide will turn southbound. Giving the potential for a fair wind, combined with a fair tide, around Dungeness.
